World dance day celebration at Presidium

Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another. The students of Presidium Senior Secondary School showed the audience some breathtaking forms of dance on the 'World Dance Day' on 23rd April, 2010.

The event included presentation of various dance forms such as ballet, salsa, bhangra, hip hop and many more. The demonstration of each dance type was given by the children of different grades. Children learnt that dancing is not only a way of expression but also a wonderful stress reliever. The event was not only knowledgeable and informative for the students but also very entertaining. The curious Presidians were told about the different attires for different dance forms along with their 'mudras' and origin.

The World Dance Day was a memorable event for the students and the entire staff.
