STORY TIME

The hare and the tortoise

One day a tortoise met a hare who made fun of her because she moved very slowly.

The tortoise got upset and invited the hare for a race.

The hare laughed at the tortoise but accepted the offer.

So the race started in the presence of all the animals in the jungle. The hare hopped and skipped leaving the tortoise far behind.

Looking back, he thought the tortoise is so far. I will surely win the race.

So the hare stopped to rest and soon fell asleep.

Meanwhile the tortoise passed the sleeping hare and continued to walk slowly but steadily.

By the time the hare woke up, the tortoise was near the finishing line. He ran as fast as he could but the tortoise won the race.
