Celebration of World Earth Day

The Presidians under guidance of the Social Cause Academy, renamed the month of April, as the Save Our Planet month. 26th April, 2010 was marked as World Earth Day in Presidium Senior Secondary School. Children were made aware about the various problems being faced by our motherland such as global warming, depletion of ozone layer, pollution etc. This consciousness made pupils aware of the probable disasters on our planet.

In order to emphasise and inculcate responsibility for saving earth, activities and projects like free conversation, special assembly, making craft samples (newspaper handbags, bookmarks, globe etc.) and dramatization were carried out. Activities on saving electricity and water, and growing more saplings were conducted. 'Save our Earth' tattoos and parade made the day special. Reciting and writing poems and songs based on the theme save earth made the day enjoyable and informative for one and all.
