Picnics And Excursions

Exposing children to newer experiences will arouse their curiosity about the world around them. Hence we give them opportunities to encounter things they only get to read about so that they feel encouraged to explore and learn more about what lies beyond the four walls of the school and home, and gain confidence to take on the world

Camping Fun :

Learning with fun is the mantra that we follow. We believe that children learn best when they are enjoying a particular activity. We had organized a Day Camp for the children of Presidium on 14th November'08. Children had loads of fun through a range of activities like face painting, bouncy, adventurous sports, puppet show and games. They all also danced to the beautiful foot tapping numbers.

Visit to Chowkidhani :

Our senior classes from Presidium, Ashok Vihar were taken out for a two days visit to Chowkidhani in Jaipur. Children enjoyed their visit to the famous Amber fort, museum and the Chowkidhani Mela. They had loads of fun during their visit to the mela, experiencing Camel and Elephant ride, watching the puppet and magic show and the traditional dances of Rajasthan. We can say that through our visit we could enhance the skills of self discipline and independence in our children.

VISIT TO MC DONALD'S and Dominos:

Children had insight into the preparation procedure of their favourite snacks - pizza & burger. They realized the importance of the people involved in such delicious preparations. Children were also given a chance to create their own pizza & relish it and were awarded certificates for the same.

MOVIE SHOW :

Children had a delightful experience watching movies like Garfield, Harry Potter, Ghatotkach and Chak De during the year.

5 - STAR HOTEL VISIT:

Students were taken on a fun filled trip in June to Hotel Siddhartha where they enjoyed magic show, fashion show and lots of games. They relished mouth- watering delicacies and went home with gifts and prizes.

NIGHT CAMP

Children had a lifetime experience in an excursion to Kanak Resort in the month of June. They enjoyed water games, fashion show, indoor sports and danced on foot- tapping music of the DJ. Besides enjoyment, there was silent learning involved. Children learnt the skills of being independent, observant, decision making and taking care of themselves and their belongings. Being with their peer group helped in the enhancement of their social skills.

WET N WILD RESORT

Children visited Wet n Wild Resort & had lip smacking food at Haldiram's. They enjoyed the water sports to the hilt and had fun dancing to the music of the DJ in the rain.

AZAD HIND GRAM :

Azad Hind Gram became the favourite picnic spot of our kids with camel ride, Kachchi ghodi dances, adventure sports, cartoon shows, magic show etc.

DDA SPORTS COMPLEX :

DDA Sports complex visit was organized in the month of June to acquaint the students with the various equipment & infrastructure required for individual sports.

NATIONAL MUSEUM :

Visit to the National Museum proved to be a great learning experience full of fun for our children.

NEHRU PLANETARIUM:

Children went to Nehru planetarium and got in depth knowledge about celestial bodies and their movement.

AEROPLANET VISIT:

Children went to the Aeroplanet and got exposure to the functioning of aircrafts. They went inside the cockpit, got hands- on experience of using the oxygen masks etc. inside the aircraft. They were also served mouth - watering snacks by the graceful air hostesses.

VISIT TO the TRADE FAIR:

To introduce the children to the handicrafts of each state, a visit was organized at the trade fair. Children gathered information about the main occupations, food and costumes of various states of India.
